Electrum
Electrum is natural alloy of gold. Pegasus Mint uses alloy 75% with at least 20-25% percent silver, and 1% of Copper.
Electrum used to make the first known coins in the Western world. Most natural electrum contains copper, iron, palladium, bismuth. In the ancient world the chief source was Lydia.
The first Occidental coinage, possibly begun by King Gyges (7th century bc) of Lydia, consisted of irregular ingots of electrum bearing his stamp as a guarantee of negotiability at a predetermined value. It was known to the ancient Persians as long ago as 860 BC. However, electrum was used even thousands of years before that, by both the Akkadians ans Anciant Egyptians (as evidenced by the Royal Cemetery in Ur).

Purple gold alloy is a metallurgical marvel that blends gold (70-79%) with aluminum to create AuAl2, the compound responsible for its purple hue. While this World Gold Council-recognized metal looks stunning, it’s notoriously brittle and demands surgeon-like precision to work with. Another alloy composition at a higher content of gold, the gold-richer intermetallic AuAl forms; the purple color is preserved to about 15% of aluminium. At 88% of gold the material is composed of AuAl and changes color. The actual composition of AuAl2 is closer to Au6Al11
